The Challenge

Antarctica is almost twice the size (without ice, only as a landmass) of Australia, almost one and a half times the size of Europe and it is about 1.2 times the size of the USA. Now it’s hard to imagine 702 miles as a distance so to give you an idea of the distance we will be skiing, it is a similar distance as from Brighton to John O’Groats, that’s from the southern most point in Great Britain to the northern most in -40 degrees with wind speeds that average 70 Kilometres an hour but that can exceed 200 Km/Hr.

This is the route me and my team will be taking. The line in comparison to the rest of the continent looks fairly short, however seeing as Antarctica is twice the size of  Australia
